AIS PC Meeting Minutes

• Upcoming Events

  • MS/US Teacher Appreciation Day - February 7; sign up via AIS-ON to donate or volunteer

  • LS Teacher Appreciation Day - February 14; donate via link on AIS-ON

  • RaisE - Friday, April 20; look for Save the Date soon, sponsorship link online

  • Spring Market - May 9-10

    • May 9 is evening event for AIS community

    • May 10 (9:30am-3pm) is public shopping event ($10 entry fee)

      • lunch will be available for purchase

      • May 10 is LS Grandfriends Day - shuttle will be available to bring Grandfriends to 672 for shopping

      • May Fair

        • Meeting scheduled for 2/28 at 8:15am (672 Conestoga Rd)

        • Most Chairs are in place but there are many volunteer opportunities (including for MS and US parents)

           

• PC Nominations are still open

  • Submit nominations for class parents, event chairs and PC Executive Committee (self-nominations encouraged!) at pcnominations@agnesirwin.org, or reach out to Beth Yocum (Nominations Chair)

     

     

    Upper School Division Coordinator (Sharon Shaver)

• January coffees for 9th/10th and 11th/12th grades were held.  Speakers included administration, PCEC members and counselors who also led valuable question and answer sessions.   Class parents have distributed minutes from these meetings.

   

• Please use the distributed sign up genius to volunteer for the February 7 MS/US Staff Appreciation Lunch.

  2/26 - US Spring Sports Begin

  2/27 - 100th Night, Seniors only, 5:30 - 8 pm, Student Life Center

  3/13 - 10th Grade College Parents Night, 7 - 8:30 pm, Student Life Center

  3/23 - Spring Break begins at end of day

  4/3   - Classes resume

  4/21 - Junior/Senior Prom

Middle School Division Coordinator (Erin Hinckle)

• Middle School Musical (Mary Poppins) rehearsals have begun; performances are March 1-3

  Lower School Division Coordinator (Beth Yocum)

• All coffees went well

• Rescheduling the Pre-K & K Coffee, either on the 15^th or 22^nd 

• Nominations now open, lower school class parents going to 1 person

• MAP testing happened last week

• More community groups to form under the year long strategic plan of community

   

   

  LS Calendar:

  2/2 - Free Dress for the Eagles

  2/6 - All school art show

  2/14 - Free dress day

  2/14 - Lower School Staff Appreciation lunch

  -volunteers look in good shape.  Still need some breakdown volunteers and one more Kindergarten volunteer. 

  2/16 -  In service day, no classes

  2/19 - President’s Day, no classes

  2/21 - Lower School Open House

  3/15-16 - Parent Teacher Conferences
