• Parent/Teacher conferences were before break, as were progress reports

  LS Calendar:

  4/9 – 2^nd grade to Philly zoo

  4/10 – 1^st grade trip to Longwood Gardens

  4/13 – PC meeting

  4/20 – Dolly Gaul Day

  4/20 – rAISe

  4/23 – MAP Testing

  4/23 – 2^nd grade to Elmwood zoo

  5/7 – 4^th grade trip to visit middle school

  5/8 – LS Spring Concert

  5/9 – Spring Market opens in the evening (not on calendar)

  5/10 – Grandfriend’s Day – noon dismissal

  5/10 – Spring Market all day, open to community

  5/18 – Mayfair

  5/25 – Lower School Field Day

  5/28 – Memorial Day, no classes

  6/4 – Last Day of Classes

  6/4 – PK dismissal at noon

• Middle School Spring sports have begun. Sports being offered are softball, lacrosse, squash and fitness
• Stars & Stripes Food Drive will begin in late April

4/20 - 7/8th Grade dance at Haverford (7-9:30pm)

5/14 - 7th Grade Midsummer Night performance

5/16 - Science Open House (7pm)

5/17 - 6th Grade trip to Glencairn

Upper School Division Coordinator (Sharon Shaver)

• Course selection for next year was completed before spring break.

   

• Prom details have been announced. On April 21, pre-prom will be held on the main campus at 6:00 pm.Beginning at 7:00 pm, prom will be held at 672.

   

• As a reminder all students must attend Class Night.All senior parents attend as the senior class is honored, not necessarily due to a specific award for their daughter.Other US parents are invited if their daughter will be receiving an award.

  4/18 - An Evening with US Director and Dean of Students

  4/21 - Junior/Senior Prom

  4/26 - Senior Showcase, 6 - 8:30 pm, Moran Gallery and West Wike

  4/27 - Sophomore Day

  5/14 - Math and Language Awards Ceremony and Yearbook Dedication, 11:30 am - 12:15 pm, MS/US Gym

  5/18 - US Last Day of Classes

  5/21-25 - US Exams and Makeup Exam Day

  5/25-29 - SSP

  5/31 - Senior Parent Cocktail Party, 6 - 8 pm, 672

  6/4 - Spring Athletic Recognition Event

  6/5 - Class Night, mandatory for all US, 6:45 pm arrival, 7 pm ceremony begins, Buck Pavilion

  6/6 - Commencement Rehearsal

• Ballot was introduced for Parents’ Council positions for 2018-2019
• Slate passed by unanimous vote

    • Event was sold out but a few sponsor tickets have become available

   

• Spring Market (May 9/10)

• Preview party May 9 for AIS community (tickets are $50 and available online)
• All day shopping May 10 (open to the public)
  • Box lunches available for purchase
  • May 10 is also Lower School Grandfriends’ Day - GF Day shuttle will stop at 672 so that grandfriends and girls can shop

• May Fair (May 18)

• Pre-sale items include tote bag, mister water bottle and beach towel and are available for purchase now
• Middle school attendance being discussed with Cintra
