Nominations (Nissa O’Mara)
•Presentation of PC slate for 2019-2020 (attached)
•Slate passed by unanimous vote

Upper School Division Coordinator (Sharon Shaver)
US Highlights:
•Seniors are making final college decisions.
•Course selection for next year is complete.
•US student leaders have been elected.
•Administration announced the Jen Fiorini will not be returning
•Lisa Webster named US Director
•Letter from Jen read to US students during assembly

4/11 - An Evening with the US Director and Dean of Students, 7 pm, Alumnae Lobby
4/12 - Mid-semester grades and teacher comments posted
4/13 - Prom @ Cira Centre
4/18 - Inservice Day, no classes
4/19 - Good Friday, no classes or meetings
4/22 - Spring Weekend, no classes or meetings
5/3 - Coating Ceremony
5/13 - Annual Math and Language Awards
5/27 - Memorial Day, no classes or meetings
6/4 - Class Night
6/6 - Commencement

•Prom is next week
•PCEC contribution: considering flat donation of $4000 in future years
•Pre-prom festivities at school intended to be simple, but getting out of hand
•Parents asked for $$ for flower wall, etc.
•Need set guidelines for parent and school responsibilities and contributions

Lower School Division Coordinator (Delia Biddison)
•LS Director Candidates
•3 finalists coming to campus next week
•Expect final decision by the end of the month
•New schedule for next year
•2nd pilot week held week of 4/1
•First week was deemed successful despite 4 day week, Valentine’s Day and snow delay
•New schedule includes some longer periods which allow for more project based, interdisciplinary and collaborative learning. First pilot week included:
•Kindergarten: “How we can show love” theme - met with Senior buddies and together they designed and built furniture for their lovies
•2nd Grade: “Community” theme - students designed their own community, built a playground with simple machines and ended the week with a field trip to Wayne where they interviewed store owners and began to understand why people choose to live where they live
• 3rd Grade: Field trip to Rosemont Senior Center and interviewed senior citizens
•4th Grade: “Teamwork” theme - came together to solve puzzles in teams
•Class placement
•Letter going out next week for parent input into 2019-20 placement
•Class placement done by Donna and teachers in June
•Final placement will be subject to change due to possible new students over the summer and/or last minute student departures
•Grandfriends Day
•Need RSVPs
•Shuttles provided
•Please let Carl Hillman know of any special needs or need for handicapped parking
•Moving Up Day
•Letter going out to 4th Grade parents including new time (11am)

•Few seats left
•Please buy your tickets as soon as they are available - this event always sells out!
•Appeal will be the first of a 3 year initiative to fund enhanced design and innovation studio and space
•Proposed studio will combine woodworking, fiber arts, engineering, architecture and other STEAM disciplines in an integrated, expanded space to include the current STEAM studio and innovation center
•Parents may contribute to appeal without attending RaisE - reach out to Cathy Ferguson for details
•May Fair (May 17)
•MS/US Parent volunteers needed to staff food tables during dances
