AIS Back-to-School Key Dates

SEPTEMBER
 Sept 3 – Orientation for all new students and parents as well as all 5 th , 9 th and 12 th graders
(See school emails and AIS-On for further details)
o All Grade 5 students and parents: Arrive at 8:30 a.m. Parent orientation finishes at
9:30 a.m. and student orientation ends at 12:30 p.m.
o New Grade 6, 7, 8 students and parents: Arrive at 8:30 a.m. Parent orientation will
finish at 9:30 a.m. Sixth grade students will finish at 10 a.m., while 7th and 8th
graders will finish at 10:30 a.m.

 Sept 4 – CLASSES BEGIN
 Sept 5 – MS Fall Sports Meeting with Coaches (for 6 th – 8 th Grade Students)
 Sept 6 – MS Athletic Practices start (see letter from Assistant Athletics Director on AIS-On
and both student and parent requirements)
 Sept 12- Middle School Parent Information Coffee, 8:15 AM – 672 Conestoga Road
o This kickoff to the school year includes presentations by the Middle
School Dean, Class Deans and Department Heads.
All parents are members of Parent Council and are invited to attend.
 Sept 17 – Middle School Picture Day
 Sept 20 – All School Founder’s Day Festival 5:00 – 7:00 PM. Register online to attend.
 Sept 21 – Ready, Set, Go – 150 Years of Girls in Action: Register online to attend this day
full of yoga and watching our teams compete
 Sept 22 – Founder’s Day Convocation – 150 Years of Empowering Girls and Inspiring
Women - 2:00 – 5:00 PM. ALL STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND. Join in to celebrate
the legacy of the Agnes Irwin School on the 150 th anniversary of the first day of school in
1869.
 Sept 26 – Middle School Parents’ Night
 Sept 30 – NO SCHOOL – Rosh Hashanah

 Oct 11 – Picture Retake Day
 Oct 12 – Discovering Your Purpose Conference – 8:30 AM. For students AND parents.
Registration coming soon. Explore the powerful role that purpose plays in our lives, and
how to cultivate it in your girl(s). The day is full of hands-on learning experiences for girls in
grades 7-12.
 Oct 17 and Oct 18 – NO SCHOOL – MS/US Parent-Teacher Conferences
