Dear AIS 6th Grade Families,

Welcome to the 2019-20 school year!  We hope this year will bring academic and athletic achievements as well as many wonderful memories. This is the year of the class trip to Camp Mason, Medieval Fair and much more. Combined with the 150th anniversary of the Agnes Irwin School, this will be an exciting time for our girls.

We are your class parents for the year and hope to keep you well-informed.  Our daughters are

Lucy Pierce who entered in Pre-K, and Margo Chisholm, who came to AIS in 5th grade. Agnes Irwin has been a wonderful experience for our girls and we hope that our new families find the same.

On that note, let’s welcome our new students and their families:

  • Sadie Boulden
  • Paige Conwell
  • Anna Cooley
  • Annabel deForest Keys
  • Eden Elizardi
  • Ella Etherington
  • Ella Goggin

The Middle School Resources Board, All School Announcements and Parents ‘Council will most likely be where you go first for Middle School and event information. If you have trouble logging on, please contact Dr. Thomas Weissert (tweissert @agnesirwin.org).

You can find a copy of the updated 2019-20 Middle School Handbook within AIS-On HERE

Be sure to also review the 6th Grade Supply List which can be found HERE

Fall Sports:

This is the year that our girls may participate in Agnes Irwin athletics. The season begins with a Fall Sports meeting with the coaches on Thursday, September 5 followed by the start of team practices on Friday, September 6. Per the email from Assistant Athletic Director Cindy Bell, fall sports include cross country, field hockey, soccer, tennis, and volleyball. Students may also choose to do an “independent” sport which requires an application.

The AIS-On Athletic Resources Board provides more information related to participation requirements including: physical forms, Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) overview and acknowledgement form requiring student and parent review and signature and the Middle School Student-Athlete/Parent Handbook. You can find the Athletics Resources Board HERE.
