Dear 2nd Grade Parents,
Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! I hope you had a wonderful Summer filled with fun, family and friends! My daughters Vivi (2nd) and Lydia (K) are super excited to begin classes next week. This year, I will serve as your class parent. I am here to answer questions and remind you of important dates and school events throughout the year. With the Sesquicentennial Celebration, it’s going to a particularly special year for the AIS Community!
This year we have 5 new 2nd graders!! Welcome Mia, Sareen, Maggie, Astrid and Olivia! We can’t wait to meet you and your families!

If you have not done so already, please log on to AIS-ON, the school’s internal communication system, and be sure to update personal information, sign up for alerts and complete outstanding forms. - Sept 3rd- Lower school New Student Orientation 1:30-2:30 (Casual dress)
- Sept 4th- Classes begin : Dismiss @ noon
- Sept 5th - Dismiss @ noon
- Sept: 6th- Dismiss @noon
- CLASS PLAYGROUND PARTY!! We will meet at Clem Macrone Park (810 Conestoga road) immediately following dismissal. I will brings some snacks but please feel free to “break in” her new lunch bag and pack a picnic lunch if you want. Please feel free to send your daughter with her caregiver if you are at work that afternoon.

The lower school dress code is available for your review on AIS-ON.
You can consider purchasing new uniforms at the School Store prior to the start of school on
August 19-23: 8 am to 2 pm

September 3: 7:30 am to 3 pm

PARENT COCKTAIL PARTY
Please let me know if you would be interested in hosting our Parent Cocktail Party. This event can be a casual potluck gathering, it doesn’t have to be costly or catered. Typically held in the Fall, this is a great night to meet the new families and reconnect with friends in a relaxed setting. Contact me if you are interested!
