The Agnes Irwin School will host its annual golf tournament, The Agnes Irwin Cup, at Sunnybrook Golf Club on Wednesday, October 16. Now in its 24 th year, this Parents' Association fundraiser is the perfect combination of competition and camaraderie. We encourage everyone in our community – golfers and non-golfers – to participate. Several sponsorship levels are available, and everyone, including golfers’ spouses, are welcome to join us for a post-round cocktail reception under the tent at Sunnybrook.
For golfers, the day begins at 11:30 a.m. with registration and lunch. If you are unable to join for a sit down lunch, boxed lunches will also be available (more details to follow closer to the event). At 1 p.m., the 18-hole tournament begins with a shotgun start. Following the fun on the course, participants will gather for cocktails and appetizers, where prizes will be given out to the day’s top golfers and all sponsors will be recognized. Those only joining for the reception should plan to arrive at Sunnybrook around 5 p.m. to enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
New this year, is an opportunity to join the event for a putting competition on Sunnybrook’s 9 hole putting course. This is a great opportunity for those who want to join the event but cannot commit to 18 holes. Grab some friends and stop by for a few hours to support the school! The putting course will be open while the golfers are on the 18 hole course and participants will submit individual scores. All participants can join for lunch and/or dinner. The winner of the putting competition will be announced at the end of the event and awarded a prize. Sunnybrook will have putters on hand if you need to borrow one.
Sponsorships for this event are available now. This is a great way for your family, friends, or clients to get involved in this event and support the Parents’ Association. Every sponsor will be recognized at the tournament with their names and/or business names being displayed for our golfers and guests to see.
In addition, and new this year, sponsors who register early are invited, with their daughters, to a golf simulator event on September 16th from 6-8 pm. .Stop by to see the new golf simulator, talk to players from the AIS golf team and take a few swings! Light refreshments will be served.
