PCEC contribution: considering flat donation of $4000 in future years
Pre-prom festivities at school intended to be simple, but getting out of hand

New schedule for next year
2nd pilot week held week of 4/1
First week was deemed successful despite 4 day week, Valentine’s Day and snow delay
New schedule includes some longer periods which allow for more project based, interdisciplinary and collaborative learning. First pilot week included:
Kindergarten: “How we can show love” theme - met with Senior buddies and together they designed and built furniture for their lovies
2nd Grade: “Community” theme - students designed their own community, built a playground with simple machines and ended the week with a field trip to Wayne where they interviewed store owners and began to understand why people choose to live where they live
3rd Grade: Field trip to Rosemont Senior Center and interviewed senior citizens
4th Grade: “Teamwork” theme - came together to solve puzzles in teams

Letter going out next week for parent input into 2019-20 placement
Class placement done by Donna and teachers in June
Final placement will be subject to change due to possible new students over the summer and/or last minute student departures

Appeal will be the first of a 3 year initiative to fund enhanced design and innovation studio and space
Proposed studio will combine woodworking, fiber arts, engineering, architecture and other STEAM disciplines in an integrated, expanded space to include the current STEAM studio and innovation center
Parents may contribute to appeal without attending RaisE - reach out to Cathy Ferguson for details
