Nomination Submission Instructions for AISPC Leadership Position

 

Nominations can be self-submitted (highly encouraged) or submitted on behalf of a peer AIS parent (we encourage you to notify people you have nominated).  The PC Nominating committee will accept submissions via email at pcnominations@agnesirwin.org or can be emailed directly to a member of the nominating committee as found on our website. Nominations must be received by the last Friday in February.

 

Agnes Irwin Parents’ Council Positions:

 

Executive Committee       

 

President - (must have served previously on the executive board)

 

Events Coordinator- (previous events experience preferred)

 

Division Coordinator-(former class parents preferred-but not required)

  •  3 needed, one per division. Upper, Middle and Lower School coordinators will work with division heads and class parents to ensure effective and accurate communication of dates, important information and serve as a liaison between class parents and the PC executive board.

     

    Treasurer- (decent grasp of simple accounting and good organizational skills needed)

     

    Secretary- (decent note taking skills needed)

     

    Member-at-large- (must have served on the executive committee)

  • 2 needed

     

    Event Chairs

     

    RenAISsance Sale (2)

    Golf Tournament (2-3 couples)

    BookFair (2)

    Owlidays (2)

    HayFair (2)

    LS Staff Appreciation Lunch (2)

    MS/US Staff Appreciation Lunch (2)

    Spring Market (replaces Spring Lunch) (2)

    rAISe (replaces Winterfest) (2-3)

    MayFair (2-3) 

    Commencement Luncheon (2 11th Grade Parents)

     

    Class Parents

    2 needed for each of the 14 grades.  3 preferred for 4th grade.  No experience necessary.  Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a class email list for correspondence
  • Emailing minutes (provided) from monthly Parents’ Council Meetings and special announcements regarding Parents’ Council and grade specific events.
  • Helping to organize class socials, parents’ nights out and other gatherings of your choosing to create a community for your class.  Organizing events DOES NOT include feeling responsible for the cost.

 

 

Nominations Review Procedure

 

The full Nomination Procedure for PC leadership is described on the AISPC website, which can be accessed through AIS-ON or through a link on the weekly notes.The evaluation process includes the approval of each candidate by the AIS Administration and the Parents’ Council Executive Committee.  The Nominating Committee, comprised of a chair, 3 members of the executive board, and 3 current class parents (one from each division) and Administration carefully review all nominations, but do not guarantee placement.  Questions can be answered  by members of the Parents’ Council Nominating Committee whose contact information is listed on the website.
